Dr Trung Quach is an experienced Consultant Nephrologist based in Melbourne, Victoria. He is the Principal Nephrologist and Director of Westside Physicians in Maribyrnong and St Albans. He also consults privately at Springvale Medical Specialists and Baw Baw Physicians in Warragul; and holds public hospital appointments at Monash Health and Latrobe Regional Hospital.

After graduating in Medicine from the University of Western Australia, he subsequently undertook his specialist physician training at major tertiary centres in Melbourne including the Alfred Hospital and Monash Medical Centre.  He attained his Fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (Nephrology) in 2011.

Dr Quach is a kidney specialist with a strong passion for health and medical education. He attained a Graduate Certificate in Health Professional Education from Monash University in 2008. He holds an academic appointment as an Adjunct Senior Clinical Lecturer at Monash University and is actively involved in teaching medical students and junior doctors.

He has served as President of the Vietnamese Health Professionals Association in Victoria from 2023-2025 and remains deeply committed to promoting kidney disease awareness in the community

His main areas of specialisation include:

Comprehensive nephrology care across a wide range of kidney-related conditions, including hypertension, proteinuria, chronic kidney disease, glomerulonephritis, recurrent urinary tract infections, kidney stones, and inherited and acquired renal disorders. He also manages patients requiring dialysis and provides ongoing care for kidney transplant recipients.

He is the Nephrologist in charge of the haemodialysis unit at West Gippsland Hospital in Warragul, where he is actively involved in delivering high-quality dialysis services. He has a strong commitment to patient-centred care and is particularly passionate about supporting patients to undertake home-based dialysis therapies, helping them maintain independence and quality of life

where he consults in general nephrology, glomuleronephritis, dialysis and renal transplant clinics.

He also has admitting rights and provides an inpatient nephrology consult service at Maryvale Private Hospital.
